Account and sign-in
Do I need an account?
Not for searching and reading. You need an account for the dossier, the document storage and to apply.
How do I sign in?
You sign in via EAuth. EAuth is a sign-in service that Stifti works with, so that Stifti itself does not have to store any passwords. There you can use a passkey, which means your phone or computer instead of a password.
How do I delete my account?
In your account under "Settings". There you can also download all your data first. When the account is deleted, all data is deleted too, including the files in the document storage.
Costs
What does Stifti cost?
Nothing for young people, parents and schools. For companies, advertising apprenticeships is free. More under Pricing.
Document storage and dossier
Can Stifti read my school reports?
No. Your browser encrypts every file before it reaches us. Only you have the key and, when you apply, the company.
I have lost my recovery code.
As long as you still have a device where your storage is open, you can create a new code there under "Security". If you no longer have such a device, we cannot get your files back. That is the price for nobody but you being able to read them. You usually still have your school reports as originals and can upload them again.
Which files can I upload?
PDF, JPG and PNG, up to 10 MB per file and up to 50 files.
Apprenticeships and companies
When will there be apprenticeships on Stifti?
From 1 January 2027. Until then, companies are getting set up. You can already find open apprenticeships now in the official apprenticeship listings on berufsberatung.ch.
What does the reply rate mean?
It shows how many applications a company has answered in the last 365 days. More details under How Stifti works.
An apprenticeship is wrong or inappropriate.
At the bottom of every apprenticeship there is a "Report" link. We look at every report.
Why do some places show no pay?
On Stifti, every apprenticeship shows the pay. If it is missing, something is wrong. Please report the place to us.
Languages
Why does it say "Machine translated"?
We translate most languages by machine first. People then check them step by step. More under Translations.
