You make sure guests and residents feel at home: rooms, laundry, service, reception and the organisation behind it all.
What you do
You work in hotels, hospitals, care homes or boarding schools and look after many things that make a stay pleasant. You clean and decorate rooms, take care of laundry, help with service and at reception, prepare simple dishes and plan the work with the team.

How the apprenticeship works
The apprenticeship takes three years. You get to know the different areas of your company, go to vocational school and attend industry courses. There is also a two-year way in: hospitality and housekeeping assistant (EBA).
Tip: Hospitals and care homes often have more regular working hours than hotels. Feel free to do taster placements in both.
And afterwards
With work experience you can lead a team, train further with professional exams to become a department manager or attend a college of higher education for hospitality.
